I am so glad to have found this place…and want to read all the back posts.

In regard to the current post…I do think many people ‘give’ conditionally…even if they say they aren’t there is a little part of them ‘waiting’ for the positive payback. I know this because I Did this for a long time…kept doing the ‘right’ things and then wondering when it would all come back to me.

I am not eactly sure how, but I lost that…waiting for it to come back to me part…now when I do anything it is purely for the joy of giving…and sometimes it comes back immediately,sometimes not…but I have shifted my focus and it has made a world of difference.

I have found that giving when you’ve not got much to share to begin with has a positive effect on my bounty. When I give despite my fear of not having enough afterward, that is usually when the Universe offers up it’s hugest, most generous gifts.

This is a great article! It is so true, when we are lacking, feeling poor in spirit or money, this the time we need to be most generous of ourselves, for what we give, we will recieve.
What we think about expands!
I have always said that if you are feeling down, go find someone to cheer up. You can’t stay down when you are trying to cheer somone one else up.

Annie,
Good Morning to you! When you say giving when you’re feeling poor, do you mean financially or emotionally?

Sometimes when I feel I can’t give anymore, I find a way to do so and it always helps… When I say give I mean, of myself, time, effort, etc…

It’s a start to something greater than us…

Giving when you are feeling poor is often the hardest time, yet it seems to be the slow road back to recovery…
If you feel that you can give, then at some point, you begin to believe that you can, and then eventually it really IS there to give ! Be it love, time or money, it is attitude and willingness that prevail…
